Capital Roots Initiative Brings Healthy Options to Student Lunches

Healthy options for our kids? Now that’s something we can get behind 100%!

Beginning on September 18th, Brunswick Central School District will begin including locally-sourced fruits and vegetables in student and staff lunches, thanks to the help of our neighbor in Troy, ! Capital Roots, whose vision is “where every person has access to fresh, affordable, healthy food,” has teamed up with our district using the Farm-to-School Program to provide produce from local farms, including fresh lettuce, apples, and cucumbers! We are so excited for this new venture toward healthier eating, and we hope you all are, too!
